Tomlinson
Motor Company (TMC) was formed from an auto wholesale company. This is
a company that buys and sells vehicles only from dealer to dealer. Over
a twenty-five year period this company, David Tomlinson Wholesale (DTW),created
the largest dealer network in the Southeast. In 1995 TMC was created to
establish an outlet for the wholesale company. Only the nicest vehicles
are selected for retail inventory. Because of this relationship TMC provides
only the finest used vehicles at a lower price than other dealers,
new car franchises or independent.
What
we are about-
Our unique source of inventory coupled with our low overhead
allows us to deliver a superior product at a lower price than our competitors.
While most dealers feel that increasing the money they spend on advertising
will result in more sales we feel that a higher advertising budget just
results in a greater overhead. We feel that sales ultimately come from
word of mouth and customer satisfaction. We choose not to spend thousands
of dollars on advertising each month because this at some point must be
passed on to the customer. TMC does not want to sell you your next vehicle.
We want to sell you all of your vehicles. Already, 40% of the vehicles
that we sell are either to repeat customer or to direct referral.
Company
information-
Our inventory is comprised
mostly of late model used cars and trucks, although we will inventory
or find almost anything. Priority is given to vehicles that are clean
and can be inventoried for the right price. The automobile business is
transient for most employees. Most of our staff
has been with us since the beginning. This gives our return customers
assurance that they will be treated in the same manner as they were the
first time and we just happen to know how to hire the best people. Everyone
that works at TMC understands and applies our long-term philosophy of
turning our buyers into repeat customers. TMC has a convenient location
at 3580 North Main St., Gainesville, FL 32609. From this location we can
deliver vehicles to and from dealers and individuals all over the Southeastern
United States.
