The Wholesale Division- Perhaps the greatest competitive edge that TMC has over its competition is the fact that it has its own wholesale company, David Tomlinson Wholesale. This is an entire division that buys and sells vehicles via the wholesale market. That is, they buy and sell vehicles only to and from licensed dealers.
In fact, TMC was created as an outlet for
this wholesale division.

Wholesaling is still the primary function of the Tomlinson organization. This means that TMC has first shot at all the wholesale inventory before it is offered to other dealers. This also means that TMC can use its wholesale network to find a particular vehicle. There are so many makes, models, options and colors out there that being able to choose from a large inventory is a big advantage.

Our Approach-
If you have ever shopped for a vehicle chances are you have had your intelligence insulted. We've all seen the hype. TMC is not about trying to trick you into buying a car. We want our customers to have a nice car, because it hurts us more than anyone to sell a lemon. We want our customers to pay fair price because when they eventually come back to trade TMC has to tell them what their car is worth.

We are not a buy here pay here dealer. These dealers take advantage of people who cannot get conventional financing by selling them a vehicle at a premium and charging an exorbitant interest rate. We do not specialize in rental vehicles. How do you think most people treat their rental car? The fact is that we have chosen to sell clean vehicles and try to treat people right. This makes people want to come back for their next vehicles and it makes them want to speak positively about us to others. This makes more sense to us than spending a lot of money on catchy advertising.

We like to think of ourselves as the new car and truck alternative. This is because, aside from selling a brand new car, we can do anything a new car dealer can. Our inventory is as nice as any new car franchise. We have a great sales staff and a highly efficient office. We can arrange conventional and secondary financing. We have our own service department and unlike most dealers we stand behind what we sell.
